What a difficult task it is to write about yourself, what you do or what you are?
I am what I am, because of what God, my parents, my teachers and my friends have given me.

My mother wanted to call me Edna Azucena, the second name meaning, my flower. Fortunately this did not happen, as it would not have been quite as harmonious with my hyper-moods, but I definitely love the name chosen by my parents eventually... Angela Cristina. That is me, as it vibrates with my strong-willed personality. Yes, I am a happy woman, even though I do get enraged sometimes, I am  dynamic, creative, confident, ambitious yet easy-going, non judgemental and quite a hard-worker.

I studied Languages first, English and French while I was preparing myself to become a Teacher. I did  comprehensive training at La Universidad Pedagógica Nacional located in Colombia´s capital, Bogotá, D.C. On that account, Ich bin Kolumbianerin. Soy Colombiana but I prefer not to be asked about my place of origin, a place I dearly love, but because I am a citizen of this world.

Later, I continued on my studies of Arts, Letters und Languages at the Oldest University of Europe; Alma Mater Studiorum di Bologna, in Italy.  Now, I ´m learning German by self-taught and pursue online courses, being the current one called: Sexing the Canvas. Art & Gender by Professor, Jeanette Hoorn from Melbourne University. I am also doing an art course at La Universidad Nacional de la Plata, Argentina.

I do love learning and overall getting to know other cultures, their art and other people´s viewpoints.

I want to be one the greatest artists of my country and being among  the most respected and engaged female artists of the world.

I look forward to hearing from you, my fellow citizens of the planet. Being critical, supportive, engaged and  courageoaus enough to speak out for those who do not have powerful voices, like artists do have.

With all my love, Angela
